WHO AM I?

A Health and Fitness Nerd

Hi everyone, my name is Hanna and am 26 years old…jeez time flies! I was born and raised in Emmerting, Germany. I was always a very active child and sure enough, I started playing soccer when I was six years old. Soccer is my absolute favorite sport. I am currently pursuing my dream as a professional soccer player in Island at IBV Vestmannaeyjar. However, I also loooove lifting weights, hiking (especially sunrise hikes), skiing, and outdoor biking in the mountains. I love finding peace and tranquility in nature and fully connect with my surroundings. I am a health and fitness nerd. I like to talk science. I love Harry Potter – J.K. Rowling saved my life, literally. My friends think I am weird – but who isn’t right? :)

Anyways, after I played for FC Bayern Munich for four years, I moved to the U.S. to play college soccer for the University of Kansas. In December 2016, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology. I didn’t want to leave the U.S. quite yet, so I tried the coaching route J I became a graduate assistant women’s soccer coach at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In 2019, I graduated with a master’s degree in business and administration from the UMKC Henry Bloch School of Management. I have been a personal trainer since the beginning of 2017 and recently became certified as a strength and condition specialist through the NSCA.

While coaching soccer and pursuing my master’s degree over the last two years, I got even more sucked into healthy living and everything that encompasses that. I took the cheaper educational route about nutrition (at least for now) haha…I have educated myself about all sorts of health-related topics through reading books & scientific journal articles and by listening to podcasts. I always try to stay objective about what I am learning and also listen to both sides of arguments.
